Mahalo, too to the Kauai Police Department and its partners, including the Hawaii Department of Transportation, Kauai Planning &Action Alliance (they’re getting together with the YWCA of Kauai to help present the two-day community forum on Wednesday and Thursday at the convention hall), and Hawaii Pacific Health for hosting the free car seat check at the Walmart parking lot to celebrate National Child Passenger Safety Week.
Kudos to those craft fair vendors who juggled two days at the Kauai Mokihana Festival and still made it to their regular commitments!
We have the launch of Fire Prevention Week coming up, Saturday from 9 a.m. at the Kauai Philippine Cultural Center with the Kauai Fire Department and its community partners … mahalo, Eric Kaneda of State Farm for the donation of the Fire Prevention Week kit for one of the schools.
Saturday is looking to be a busy day with the Grove Farm Market (boy, that Sam Brown is improving his Sammy’s Philly Cheesesteak offering every week!) hosting its craft fair component where the Master Gardeners will be working with Compost Kauai on the Value and Importance of Composting on Kauai.
