WAIMEA — The Waimea Alumni and Friends Foundation will be hosting its 2024 Spirit Awards Luau and general membership meeting on Sept. 14 at the Waimea High School cafeteria.
“Each fall, the WAFF sponsors a luau (with local style Hawaiian food) in conjunction with our Annual General Membership Meeting,” said WAFF President Russ Hasegawa. “The highlight of the luau has been the recognition of outstanding individuals who have contributed to Waimea High School and the community.”
The four Spirit Award recipients being recognized include Joyce Evens, Lisa Johnston, Aletha Kaohi (posthumous) and Sharon Leoki.
Dinner service starts at 6 p.m. Dinner tickets are $30 donation for adults and can be purchased by calling Janice at 808-482-1034.
