LIHU‘E — A lot of road-related work is scheduled for the upcoming week on the island of Kaua‘i, the Hawai‘i department of Transportation said in an update on Friday.
The following is a list of projects set for the workweek ending July 26. All work is weather permitting.
Anahola
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in the southbound direction for guardrail repair, between mile post 10.26 and 14.58, in the vicinity of Kapuna Road through the morning of Monday, July 22, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Hanalei
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for grass cutting, between mile post 1.28 and 2.33, on Monday, July 22, through Friday, July 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Hanamaulu
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for striping, between mile post 2.31 and 2.59, in the vicinity of Akilolo Street and Kapule Highway, on Monday, July 22, through Friday, July 26, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Kalaheo
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for grass cutting, between mile post 11 to 13, in the vicinity of Lauoho Road, on Monday, July 22, through Friday, July 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for grass cutting and guardrail clearing, between mile post 13 to 17, in the vicinity of Lele Road, on Monday, July 22, through Friday, July 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for highway reconstruction, in the vicinity of Kahiliholo Road and Ka Haku Road, through Friday July 26, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Kapa‘a
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for asphat reconstruction and resurfacing, in the vicinity of Waikaea Bridge and Mailihuna Road, through Friday, July 26, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Kealia
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for striping, in the vicinity of Kealia Road and Aliomanu Road, on Monday, July 22, through Friday, July 26, from 8p.m. to 5 a.m.
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in the southbound direction for guardrail repair, between mile post 11.5 and 12, on Tuesday, July 23, through the morning of Wednesday, July 24, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Kipu
A right side lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for guardrail clearing, between Kipu Road and Pu‘uana Road, on Monday, July 22. from 1 a.m. to 6:30 a.m.
Koke‘e
A single lane closure on Waimea Canyon Drive (Route 550) is possible for road widening and paving, in either direction between mile post 11.5 and 14, through Friday, July 26, from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
