NAWILIWILI — Law enforcement is seeking the community’s assistance in identifying a body that was found at Carter’s Point on Thursday, July 18.
On Thursday morning, the Kaua‘i Police Department (KPD) responded to a report regarding human remains discovered at Carter’s Point near Nawiliwili Harbor.
Personnel with the Kaua‘i Fire Department (KFD) assisted in retrieving the body and transported it to Wilcox Medical Center in Lihu‘e.
Due to the advanced stage of decomposition, KPD is requesting the community’s assistance in identifying the body and urges anyone with any information regarding the case to contact Detective Caires at 808-241-1693 or KPD Dispatch at 808-246-8300.
Foul play in not suspected at this time. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine cause of death.
