Kent Kenichi Tomimoto
Kent Kenichi Tomimoto, 61, of Lawa‘i, passed away at home on May 26, 2024. He was born on Sept. 11, 1962, in Honolulu. He was a Central Services Branch Manager, State of Hawai‘i, Department of Accounting and General Services.
He was preceded in death by father Thomas Tomio Tomimoto, paternal grandfather Yoshio Tomimoto, paternal grandmother Chikayo Tomimoto, maternal grandfather Izumi Yamamoto and maternal grandmother Yukiye Yamamoto.
He is survived by wife Sallie Ann Ballaibe Tomimoto, son Ky K. Tomimoto of Las Vegas, Nevada, daughter Kelsey M. Tomimoto of Cambridge, Massachusetts, mother Nancy M. Yamamoto Tomimoto, brother Ty K. (Sandra Hatae) Tomimoto of Honolulu, Hawai‘i, uncle and aunty Wallace and Karen Yamamoto, cousin Lynne Yamamoto (David) Leung, mother-in-law Salome Ortal Ballaibe, sister-in-law Rose Ballaibe (Malcom) Doi, brother-in-law Rudolph Ballaibe, numerous nieces, and nephews.
A service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, at West Kaua‘i Hongwanji Mission, Waimea Hongwanji Mission located at 4675 Menehune Road, Waimea, Hawai‘i, 96796. Visitation begins at 8 a.m. followed by funeral service at 9 a.m. The family requests casual attire and welcomes flowers.
Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
