Kudos to Lyah Kama Drake, her Drake ‘ohana, and all those hard-working committee heads on another great King’s Celebration … love the Royal Court display alongside the Kaua‘i Museum building … and kudos to Kumu Troy Allen Hinano Lazaro and Halau Ka Pa Hula of Hinano on the dynamic and colorful float!
Judy Fernandez said she was the grand marshall announcer since there was no banner for Judge Bill (wow! Ten books! Amazing!) who got help from Liana Nakazawa of Kaua‘i Seaside Properties in Kapa‘a (they’re in the former location of Soul Mates) during the judge’s book signing at the ho‘olaule‘a … wow, Lady Ipo got to get the local music greats together for some real chalangalang.
OK, back to the Tropic Care Kaua‘i … the satellite clinic at the Kilauea Elementary School opens Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. and continues through noon on June 20. The Department of Defense Innovative Readiness Training clinic at the Kapa‘a Middle School (that’s where the dermatologist is stationed at) continues from 8 a.m., Monday through June 20, and the Kaua‘i Bus is at no-cost until June 20. Go early … the no-cost optometry and dentistry slots fill up, quickly!
