LIHU‘E — The annual King Kamehameha Celebration Day Parade is scheduled for Saturday in Lihu‘e.
The 152nd annual parade will shut down Lihue streets on Saturday from 8:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. to accommodate the event.
Kaua‘i Police Department personnel will be monitoring the following closures: Ho‘olako Street (from Vidinha Stadium to Rice Street),
Rice Street (from Ho‘olako Street to Eiwa Street) and Eiwa Street (Rice Street to Hardy Street).
The Kaua‘i Bus stop on Eiwa Street will be relocated to Hardy Street to accommodate the parade. All bus routes will use the Hardy and Eiwa intersection while closures are in effect.
The Lihue Shuttle (Route 70) will not be operating on Rice Street during the parade. Motorists are advised to allow extra time to get to their destinations.
