Coach Bunga will be joining the Master Gardeners in a special plant and agriculture demonstration on Saturday at the Grove Farm Market that sounds the horn at 9:30 a.m. at the Puhi park open field.

Marlene Duarte said this Saturday the market will have its Craft Fair component with about 40 vendors joining the usual market lineup of vendors. Is Lickety Louie going to be there?
Carol Yotsuda, of the Boroboro Boutique, said they’re passing on this week’s event because they might not have enough inventory following the Sew-a-Thon event that, in part, served as a 43rd anniversary of the Garden Island Arts Council. One of the participating sewers said, “This is what we do at Carol’s house every week.”
Kudos, retired General Mary Kay Hertog and all those Kaua‘i Veteran Council hands and community partners on hosting a “record crowd” of people to the annual Memorial Day service where Kaleo Carvalho (he’s already recovered from Project Grad) made several of the key wreaths.
Kudos to the Waimea High School JROTC specialty units like the Saber Unit and Color Guard on participating in the service despite leaving for Europe in a few days to participate in the 80th anniversary of D-Day, where the 22 cadets and leaders will represent the legacies of the famed 442nd Regimental Combat Team and the 100th Infantry Battalion.
