LIHU‘E — The Garden Island newspaper is moving on up. After decades of working out of our location on Kuhio Highway, we are relocating the business office and newsroom.
As of Tuesday, May 28, the business office and newsroom will be located in the Haleko Building at 2970 Haleko Road, Suite 205, Lihu‘e.
We are pleased with our new location and feel it will serve us well in the years ahead, as we evolve and grow as a newspaper and business.
We’ve been serving the islands of Kaua‘i and Ni‘ihau since 1902, and we look forward to continuing to provide the community with local stories for many years to come.
Feel free to stop by during regular business to get a look at our new location. The business office is open Monday through Friday, excluding certain holidays, from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. We can also be reached at 808-245-3681.
Of note, the business office will be closed on Monday, May 27, because of the Memorial Day holiday. As a result, the newspaper will not be delivered on Monday because the U.S. Postal Service does not deliver mail on that day.
But we will produce a digital replica edition of the newspaper, which will be available online at www.thegardenisland.com on Monday morning.
We wish everyone a safe and sane Memorial Day, as we honor and remember the men and women who died in military service for the United States.
The business office will reopen at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
Main thing you take good care of our most famous reporter- Dennis Fujimoto,,, we are so blessed to have him
