LIHU‘E — The Little Babes Club is presenting a Mother’s Day Family Fun Fundraiser on Saturday at the Kaua‘i Philippine Cultural Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The event features live entertainment, prize giveaways, miniature horses, community resources vendors, soft play, bounce houses, craft vendors, food, keiki activities and a photo booth in an alcohol-free atmosphere.
Admission is by wristbands with $20 being assessed for the first child and $10 for each additional child.
All of the proceeds will go toward opening The Little Babes Club indoor playground on Kaua‘i.
“The funds we gather will go toward start up costs ranging from securing a commercial space, renovations, play equipment, office supplies, birthday party supplies and more to create a safe, modern, aesthetic, vibrant, and well thought-out design,” organizers on the Little Babes Club said on their website ifundwomen.com/little-babes-club-0.
The Little Babes Club is an idea that was formed from the owners’ mobile party rental business, Little Babes Party Rentals.
“We are a family owned and operated business — two moms, two dads, six littles seven and under, and our supportive family members,” the organizers said. “We understand the challenge of finding engaging activities for young children and families on a daily basis here on Kaua‘i. Our mission is to fill this gap by providing a welcoming indoor playground where families can come together ever day to play, learn, and connect.”
Little Babes Club will offer open play, Little Tumble classes, a variety of weekly classes, private birthday parties, community events, and provide an affordable snack shop, coffee and flavored drinks for parents.
The gated play area will consist of a wide range of soft play equipment, books, pretend play, mini rock climbing wall and more.
Little Babes said they would like to highlight small businesses on Kaua‘i by offering a retail space in the playground.
