Rose W. Kahookele
Rose W. Kahookele, of Anahola, passed away on May 17, 2024, at Wilcox Medical Center at the age of 92. She was born in Honolulu on Feb. 16, 1932. She was a loving wife and mother.
She was preceded in death by husband Charles “Kekoa” Kahookele.
She is survived by daughters Adrienne Tsukiyama, Donna (Ciso Lagmay) Stokes, Jeni-Ayn Tsukiyama, sons Darrell (Audrey Kaneshiro) Stokes, Merlyn “Kahanu” Tsukiyama, 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Friends may join the family on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Kalapaki Bay Memorial Park in Lihu‘e for a graveside service.
Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
Myrtle Leinaala Pratt
Myrtle Leinaala Pratt passed away on April 17, 2024, in Waimea, Kaua‘i, at the age of 95. She was born on Dec. 15, 1928, in Na‘alehu, Hawai‘i. She was a field hand for Gay & Robinson Plantation.
She was preceded in death by husband Merlin Pratt, son Merlin Pratt Jr., father David Kaapana, parents Caroline and Robert Kansaku, grandparents John and Caroline Kahananui.
She is survived by daughters Christina (David) Kelekoma, Elvera (Gilbert) Moniz, Jasmine “Nani” (Henry) Aviguetero, sons Lloyd (Janee) Pratt, Terrill (Mary) Pratt, Edward (Jennifer) Pratt, brother Jordan (Shirley) Kahananui, 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
