Borita ‘Grandma Bo’ Becker
Borita “Grandma Bo” Becker, of Kalaheo, Kaua‘i, went home to be with the Lord peacefully surrounded with love and family on April 12, 2024, at her home at the age of 90.
Born in Lafayette, Louisiana, on Jan. 8, 1934. She was a retired medical transcriptionist from USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, California. A former President of Southern California Chapter of A.A.M.T. Grandma Bo will be most remembered for her generous spirit and her kind loving soul along with her beautiful big smile. Her presence on this earth will be truly missed by all. Until we meet again fly with the angels Grandma Bo.
She was preceded in death by husbands Charles “Red” Rider, Richard “Papa Ritchie” Becker, daughter Annette Vallow, brother Francois “Frenchy” (Jewell Patton) Frilot, sister Rose Mary (Chuck) Andreu, brothers-in-law Ted Schultz, Chuck Andreu and Al Chachere.
She is survived by sons David (Janice) Rider, Larry (Debbie) Rider, Gary (Teri) Rider, Michael “Mike” (Betty) Rider, Joseph “Joe” (Tuyet) Rider, daughters Dianne Rider, Tricia (Kaipo) Blake, sisters Elsie Chachere, Helen Schultz, brothers James “Jim” Frilot, Ronald “Ron” (Karen) Frilot, grandchildren Steven Rider, Amy (Jeremy) Johnson, Shannon (Shane) Jackson, Nathan Rider, Justin Rider, Lori (Matt) Calvert, Cole (Meagan) Rider, Lucas (Adrienne) Rider, Jessica (Kevin), David (Alex) Rider, Daniel(Jaime) Rider, Fouad (Kayla) Rider, Bree Kanoe Blake, Blythe Kahokulea Blake, great-grandchildren Davin, Maleah, Ainsley, Holden, Nici, Alexis, Chloe, Keana,Aubrey, Lucky, Yvesie-Plum, Noah, Owen, August, Bloom, Mina, Tristan, Jeremiah, Judah, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life is Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kalaheo. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. followed by Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m.
A Celebration of Life in California will be held at a later date.

Frederick Kenneth Chaundy
Frederick Kenneth Chaundy, of Lihu‘e, passed away on April 11, 2024, at the age of 76 years old. He was born on Oct. 1, 1947, in Michigan. He was a research chemist.
He was preceded in death by parents Kenneth and Mary Ann Chaundy, sister Sallie Hudspeth and brother Dennis Chaundy.
He is survived by wife Sandra Chaundy, daughter Lisa (Matt) Davison, grandchildren Ella and Ayden and sister Carole Chaundy.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Michigan.

Arthur Wentworth Keale
Arthur Wentworth Keale, of Waimea, passed away in Waimea on Feb. 1, 2024, at the age of 82. He was born on Dec. 26, 1941, in Puaiki, Ni‘ihau. He was a Golf Course Shaper.
He was preceded in death by father Josef Kupaianaha Kahale, Sr., mother Adeline Waioloe Kaleohana Kahale, brothers Moses K. Keale, Rev. Moses “Moke” Keale, Jr., Joseph Kahale, Jr., Arthur W. Kahale, sisters Rev. Adeline W. Rivera, Rev. Rose K. Kaliloa, Rebecca L. Keale and Josephine Keale.
He is survived by wife Dolores “Dorothy” Keale and son Kyle Wentworth H. Keale of Port Allen.
A service will be held on May 4, 2024, at the Garden Island Mortuary in Lawa‘i. Visitation from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. followed by service at 9:45 a.m. The family suggests casual attire and requests that flowers be omitted.
