KAPA‘A — The Kauai Police Department (KPD) is investigating a hit-and-run that occurred in Kapa‘a last week.
KAPA‘A — The Kauai Police Department (KPD) is investigating a hit-and-run that occurred in Kapa‘a last week.
KPD said that on April 11, 2024, at approximately 10:30 p.m., a 56-year-old male was hit by a vehicle on Kahuna Road. The man was transported to Wilcox Memorial Hospital in
Lihu‘e, where he was pronounced dead. The man was later identified as Christopher Harm of Kapa‘a.
An autopsy on Harm has been conducted, but the results are pending.
On April 15, police arrested Jacob Saylor in connection with the incident. The 43-year-old man from Kilauea was arrested at approximately 3 p.m. for the offense of negligent homicide in the first degree. He is currently being held at KPD cellblock on $500,000 bail.
