Michael Wayne Kiyabu
Michael Wayne Kiyabu, 76, passed away on Nov. 29, 2023, in Kapa‘a. He was born on May 9, 1947, in Hawai‘i. He was in the U.S. Navy and a retired Kaua‘i Police Officer.
He was preceded in death by mother Hatsuko Kiyabu, aunts Rita S. Kiyabu and Theresa Braun.
He is survived by wife Lori R. Kiyabu, son Michael K.G. Kiyabu (Michael Haritos), daughters Lori G.K. (Glen) Balisacan, Kristy Sasachika (Chance Kinney), stepdaughter Liana (Randall) Koerte, sister Teri Kaluahine, brothers Larry Fernandez, Eddie Fernandez, grandchildren Norven Balisacan, Kingston Kinney, Roman Kinney, Royal Kinney, Kannon Kinney, beloved pets Orion, Kitty, Tang, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 13, at Kaua‘i Veterans Center in Lihu‘e. Visitation starts at 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Lunch provided at 11 a.m. The family requests that you wear NFL attire to support your favorite NFL team.

Patricia Gail Shaddock
Patricia Gail Shaddock passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024, in Waimea, Kaua‘i, at the age of 74 years old. She was born on Sept. 17, 1949, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was a court reporter for the Arkansas Judiciary System.
She was preceded in death by son Wesley Young West, mother Ethel Lois Shaddock and father Godfrey S. Shaddock.
She is survived by son Dupree West of Portland, Oregon, daughters Rashida Molett-West of Portland, Oregon, Natasha Molett of Portland, Oregon, ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild, brothers Donald E. Shaddock of Memphis, Tennessee, Gerald V. Shaddock of Waimea, Kaua‘i, Roy Shaddock of Mered, California, sister Phyllis Richards of Waimea, Kaua‘i, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at the Waimea Baptist Church in Waimea, Kaua‘i, located at 9625 Kaumuali‘i Hwy. Visitation is from 2 to 3 p.m. followed by services at 3 p.m. The family requests casual attire and welcomes flowers.
Garden Island Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
Angela Marie Smallidge
Angela Marie Smallidge went to the Lord Peacefully along-side family in Phoenix, Arizona, on March 6, 2024. She was born in Carbondale, Pennsylvania, on Dec. 19, 1934. She also grew up in New York where she married and had six children. She liked working for attorneys, reading and softball. Her Love for Kaua‘i was genuine! She was always baking up something special for a friend. She enjoyed singing in the church choir at St. Sylvester’s and her biggest passion was the game of Rugby! She played for many years and created the first women’s team on Kaua‘i!
A Celebration of Life Mass and Reception will be on Tuesday, April 16, at 9 a.m. at St. Lukes Catholic Church in Phoenix.
