Jason Rafael Olores
Jason Rafael Olores, of Kekaha, passed away on March 21, 2024, in Kekaha at the age of 58. He was born on Dec. 2, 1965, in Waimea, Kaua‘i.
He was preceded in death by his mother Evelyn Olores, brothers Dana Olores, Marvin Olores, sister-in-law Linda Olores and nephew Mika Olores.
He is survived by his significant other Bobbi Bryant of Texas, sons Naveen Alaka‘i Olores of Texas, Justin Rapozo of Kaua‘i, father Valeriano Olores, brothers Jonathan Olores of Kekaha, Gordan (Leanne) Olores of Kalaheo, sisters Valerie (Manuel) Santiago of Kekaha, Janet (Harold) Bradford of Lihu‘e, Evelyn (Thomas) Riley of Minnesota, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service will be held on April 13, 2024, at MacArthur Park in Kekaha. Visitation is from noon to 1 p.m. followed by service at 1 p.m. The family requests aloha attire and welcomes flowers.

Duane T. Souza
Duane T. Souza, 78, of Kapa‘a, passed away at Garden Isle Health Care on Jan. 17, 2024. He was born in Lihu‘e, Kaua‘i, on Oct. 26, 1945, and retired from Kaua‘i Police Department as a police officer.
He is survived by his wife Moana Souza, daughters Marlo (Reno) Alaipalelei, Tiana (Shane) Enos, Halia (Kyson) Souza, 3 grandchildren Kamalu (Rain) Umu, Nalani Umu, Naleiaala Enos, 5 great-grandchildren Tewai, Tytus, Lion, Hina, Luna, brothers Maurice (Carola) Souza of O‘ahu, Gareth (Wendy) Souza of Kapa‘a, sisters Maureen Bloom of California, Wilma (Richard) Boudreau of O‘ahu, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by his parents William and Virginia Souza, brother William Leo Souza and sister Duanne W. Torres.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at St. Catherine Church in Kapa‘a with visitation from 8:30 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Family graciously declines flowers and requests Aloha attire.

Geraldine Noelani Kanahele, of Hanapepe, passed away on March 25, 2024, at home at the age of 60. She was born on Dec. 2, 1963, on Ni‘ihau. She was a housewife.
She was preceded in death by father John K. Kaaumoana and brother Samuel K. Kaaumoana.
She is survived by husband Uilama Hoomana ia Iesu Kanahele, sons Wesley U. (Adelaida) Kanahele of Hanapepe, June K. Kaaumoana of Ni‘ihau, Eric M. (Kristy) Kanahele of Kaumakani, hanai son Jarian I. (Jean) Beniamina of Makaweli, daughter Jade P. (Tyrus) Kanahele of Ni‘ihau, 12 grandchildren, mother Kuulei Kaaumoana, brother Gordon K. Kaaumoana of Ni‘ihau, hanai brother June K. Kaaumoana of Ni‘ihau, sisters Marian K. (James) Beniamina of ‘Ele‘ele, Dorothy H. (Charles Jr.) Kaliloa of Kekaha, hanai sister Hazel L. (Charles III) Kaliloa of Oregon, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Garden Island Mortuary. Visitation is from 9 to 10:30 a.m. followed by a celebration of life at 10:30 a.m. The family requests casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Thomas Galicinao Soriano, of Lihu‘e, passed away on March 12, 2024, at home at the age of 100. He was born on Feb. 12, 1924, in the Philippines. He was an Irrigation Technician.
He was preceded in death by parents Alberto and Desideria Soriano, siblings Emilia Soriano Sagucio, Cosmi Soriano, Gerardo Soriano, Francisco Soriano, Carmen Sagucio Soriano and Esminia Soriano.
He is survived by wife Nives Pedronan Soriano, son Irineo (Thelma Pascual) Soriano of Lihu‘e, Ruben (Darlene) Soriano of Lihu‘e, Edwin (Luz) Soriano of San Diego, California, daughters Emilie (Dominador) Bucasas of Lihue, Shirley Yoshida Moriguchi of Lihu‘e, 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
A service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the Garden Island Mortuary in Lawa‘i. Visitation begins at 9 a.m., followed by a celebration of life at 10 a.m. The family requests casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Wong of Kapa‘a, Levon K. Wong of Kapa‘a, Reuel K. Wong (Cindy Delos Reyes) of Kapa‘a, sisters Novena K. Hidemi Okamoto, of Kealia, passed away on March 24, 2024, at home at the age of 95. He was born on March 12, 1929, in Lihu‘e. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
He was preceded in death by wife Sally Okamoto, parents Otokichi and Hatsuno Okamoto, brothers and sisters.
He is survived by son Glenn Okamoto of Wailua, daughter Penny (Robert) Shissler of Kealia, two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews.
