Chef Judy Capertina of Haole Girl Island Sweets was off-island on Friday, but Chef Judy’s stand alone croissant shop (with coffee!) and a store is within walking distance of the new Garden Island Federal Credit Union, Kapa‘a Branch. Who could resist a visit?

Congratulations, Renee Palmer (she a project manager now!) and Rose Anne Jones of the Kaua‘i Society of Artists on getting the special Steve Lim of Petaluma, California, award donation that went to Tomoko Ouchi (she is traveling in Japan) who also earned the People’s Choice Award for the second straight year at the KSA Spring Show … kudos to Primrose and Randy Naukana Rego on a great job with the entertainment, and Charles Wolford was happy there were no games taking place at Wilcox Gymnasium. There is still this week remaining to view the show and award the winners.
Kudos to the Royal Order of Kamehameha on hosting the annual Prince Kuhio protocol at the Prince Kuhio Park that is located just a short distance from Prince Kuhio’s actual birthplace … he’s truly a son of Kaua‘i! Kudos to Trinette Kaui and the property owners representing the land owners, who started the Prince Kuhio Park with a donation of 5 acres on behalf of McBryde Sugar.
