Playing at the Bulldogs’ home gym, the Warriors outgunned Kaimuki 31-24 in the first half before the Bulldogs rebounded in the second half, including a 22-8 Kaimuki showing in the fourth frame to overtake the Warriors.
In the effort, Warriors distance specialist Tristen Scully was held to just one bomb in seven attempts to finish with 11 points. Lead guard Keaka Kauhane finished with 16 points after coming up empty on seven tries from outside the 3-point arc. Reimel Camacho lead Kapa‘a with a game-high 17 points and four boards.
Kaimuki’s top gun honors belonged to Daysen Lupica, who finished with 20 points and three rebounds. Jeremiah White netted 18 points and four rebounds.
Kapa‘a next faces LeJardin, who lost 67-53 to top-seeded Kohala on Thursday.
