Additional updates and details can be found online at www.Iwikua.org. Iwikua, a West Kaua‘i nonprofit, is the organizer and host for Na Heihei a Ola.
“We are excited to debut a new route for the Waimea Town Celebration run that highlights Waimea town. Because of this course change, there will be a brief closure of the Waimea Bridge from 7 to 7:15 a.m.,” Iwikua said.
“During the bridge closure, and the race, traffic will continue running through Waimea town in both directions, but expect some minor delays. Please remember to drive with Aloha, and be cautious of our runners.”
Iwikua serves as an educational resource to benefit the wellness of West Kaua‘i for future generations through sustainable food, production, physical fitness and cultural exchange. The proceeds of this community event will support Iwikua’s Westside Track Club that is open to all ages and experience levels.
The Westside Track Club is focused on teaching the fundamentals of track and field, as well as providing speed and quickness training to benefits athletes.
