HONOLULU — The Hawai‘i High School Athletic Association announced on Saturday that Kapa‘a High School, the reigning Central Pacific Bank Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation boys basketball champions, earned the No. 4 seed in Division II play when the Heide & Cook HHSAA boys basketball state championship play starts on Thursday.
HONOLULU — The Hawai‘i High School Athletic Association announced on Saturday that Kapa‘a High School, the reigning Central Pacific Bank Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation boys basketball champions, earned the No. 4 seed in Division II play when the Heide & Cook HHSAA boys basketball state championship play starts on Thursday.
Kapa‘a will face off against the No. 5 Kaimuki High School starting at 7 p.m. at Kalani High School on O‘ahu with the winner advancing to play the victor of the top-seeded Kohala and unseeded LeJardin matchup that will also contest on Thursday.
No. 2 seed in the Division II state championships goes to University High, who will face unseeded Aiea High School in the Thursday quarterfinals.
No. 3 seed Seabury Hall of the Maui Interscholastic League will play Pahoa of the Big Island Interscholastic Federation on Thursday.
The Division II championship game is scheduled for Saturday afternoon at the Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu.
