With just its Senior Night game on tap, congratulations to Kapa‘a High School girls basketball coach Neal Fagarang on clinching the Central Pacific Bank Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation girls basketball championship. Beside being the best of girls hoops on Kaua‘i, Coach Neal leads the team that is the current Division II state champion … can we repeat?

Coach Freddy Levinthol was worried about how many points Taira Samiano finished with after launching five big bombs, and Kaua‘i High School player Leann Vegas’ dad was happy Leann actually got court time because she is a senior and needs the memories of playing. OK, now, one more match against Coach Natalie Mata and the scrappy Menehune!
Congratulations, David Sosner (poha is out of season, right now) on starting to move on some of the changes like The Bandwagon Music Center bringing its stash of musical instruments to life next to the Kaua‘i Bakery, and the UPS Store’s plans to take over the space where Bandwagon used to be … just check out the signs in the door — it says “Open,” then walk on in.
Kila Kila is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, who just moved here with parents David and Loiesa Kiefer from Arizona. They were busy making friends on Monday at the Target store and Pau Hana Market. They’re planning a dog show on Feb. 3 at Wailua Dog Park to get to know more Cavalier people, as well as train Kila Kila for a dog show coming up in Honolulu … good opportunity to know more about Cavaliers.
