People were scrambling to be first in line at the Lickety Louie booth for their doggie treats (must be really good to sell out from Christmas), and Tommy Noyes and the Bikes on Rice ‘ohana enjoyed a “slow roll” to welcome 2024 … mahalo for parting with that fleet roller to replace someone’s bike that was pilfered at the airport.
Congratulations, D’Lissa Iannuci and Scotty’s Music (they’re open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. near The Fish Express) for the outreach to welcome 2024. Aaron Nakamura and Aldrine Guerrero of ‘Ukulele Underground were there, and Aldrine announced plans for a new ‘Ukulele Academy where people can go to learn how to play the four-stringed instrument … yes, Roy Sakuma retired, and Aldrine said he has plans to be involved in the “inaugural Kaua‘i ‘Ukulele Festival that will take place on April 14 at Kukui Grove Center … more details about that shindig coming soon.
