Milisav Michele Nedeljkovic
Milisav Michele Nedeljkovic, of Lihu‘e, passed away on Dec. 4, 2023, at the age of 97. He was born in Yugoslavia on April 6, 1926. He was a retired carpenter.
He was preceded in death by wife Gisele Marie Joseph Baron, father Ljubisa Nedeljkovic and mother Zivka Jovic.
A celebration of life is Sunday, Jan. 14, at 2960 Aheahe St., Lihu‘e, from 11 to 2 p.m.

Yvonne Woala Pascua, 76, of Kapa‘a, passed away on Nov. 25, 2023. She was born in Waimea, Kaua‘i, Hawai‘i, on Aug. 3, 1947. She worked as an HR representative at the Kaua‘i Surf and Westin Hotel and was an active member of the Hale O Na Ali‘i O Hawaii Halau O Kapi‘olani, Inc.
She was preceded in passing by her loving husband of 51 years, Raymondo Pascua and parents Martha and Lawrence Kapuniai Sr.
Yvonne is survived by her children Donna Dacay, LeeAnn (Michael) Sukehira, Raymond (Raleen) Pascua, Kathleen Woodward, Suzanne (Randall) Yokoyama, Guy (Tina) Pascua, Stephanie (Glen) Probasco, Stephen (Val) Pascua, Michelle Pascua, siblings Shirley Ann Kauahi, Lawrence (Leina‘ala) Kapuniai Jr., numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024, at St. Catherine Church in Kapa‘a, with visitation from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., a funeral Mass at 10 a.m., and burial will follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.

Nathan Ken Louis
On Nov. 30, 2023, Nathan Ken Louis, of 4484 Punee Road, Oma‘o, Hawai‘i, passed away at the age of 66 years old.
He is survived by his brother Matthew J. (Avanell Kalalau-Louis) Louis, nephew Matthew A. Louis, grandnephew Anthony Louis, grandniece Lily Louis and niece Bridget L. Louis.
He was predeceased by his loving parents Anthony Nelson Louis and Hiroko (Kakuda) Louis.
A celebration of life with viewing from 9 to 10 a.m. followed by Mass service and burial on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024, at St. Raphael Catholic Church, located at 3011 Hapa Road, Koloa, Hawai‘i.

Francisco Mission, of Makaweli, passed away on Nov. 21, 2023, at Wilcox Medical Center at the age of 88. He was born on May 11, 1935, in Waimea. He was a retired field hand for Gay & Robinson and a security officer for Garden Island Security.
He was preceded in death by wife Stella Sylvia Mission, brothers Raymond Priego, Richard Mission, sisters Felicidad Jacot, Priscilla Ramos, Bernadita Priego-Hunt, Anne Chang-Reis and great-great-grandson John Keaka Bagain.
He is survived by sons Francis “Bully” Mission of ‘Ele‘ele, Clifford (Shanlyn) Mission of Kapa‘a, daughters Dawn (Rudy) Bagain of Hanapepe, Sylvia (Gerard) Lagazo of Oma‘o, Lisatte (Tony) Pajela of Puhi, 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, sister Dolores Dorothy Keale of Waimea, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service will be held at Garden Island Mortuary in Lawa‘i on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024. Visitation is from 9 to 11 a.m. followed by a celebration of life at 11 a.m. The family requests casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Elizabeth “Lisa” Nui Garma Carvalho, of Kapa‘a, passed away on Nov. 12, 2023, at Wilcox Medical Center at the age of 77. She was born on Feb. 3, 1946, in Lihu‘e. She was the owner of Shanora of Kaua‘i, a retired seamstress and a cashier at Wailua Country Store.
She was preceded in death by father Nomeriano Carlos, mother Nora Dias and sister Dorothy Yatsuoka.
She is survived by husband Gilbert C. Carvalho, son Norbert “Keone” (Cheryl) Garma of Lihu‘e, daughters Noralyn (Tamio) Hasegawa of Kapa‘a, Shanlee (James) Jimenez of Lihu‘e, grandchildren Tamalyn Hasegawa, Tyren Hasegawa, Torrie Hasegawa, Tyrus (Cori) Hasegawa, Ashlee (Kiah) Imai, Jamilee (Wayne) Jimenez, Krystian (Mikki) Garma, Caylee Garma, great-grandchildren Dayden Paahao, Saydee Paahao, Kian Imai, brothers Norman (Lourdes) Carlos of Kapa‘a, Sal (Isabella) Talha of Carson, California, William (Radrik) Carlos of Lihu‘e, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Steven Mitsuo Saiki, of ‘Ele‘ele, passed away on Dec. 12, 2023, at home at the age of 79. He was born on Jan. 9, 1944, in ‘Ele‘ele. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a retired teacher of Waimea High School.
He was preceded in death by daughter Renee Aiko Saiki and parents Nobuo and Toyoko Saiki.
He is survived by wife Elaine Saiki, son Ryan Saiki of ‘Ele‘ele, daughter Lani Saiki-Woods (Matthew) of Lihu‘e, grandchildren Riley Saiki, Maya Saiki, Cayden Woods, brothers Gerald Saiki (Pam) of O‘ahu, Russell Saiki (Dale) of O‘ahu, Bert (Lita) Saiki of ‘Ele‘ele, sister Gayle Cuizon of Oma‘o, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A public visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024, at the West Kauai Hongwanji Mission in Hanapepe from 9 to 10 a.m. A private service for the family only will follow at 10 a.m. The family suggests casual attire and requests no flowers or koden (monetary gifts).

Roy Tomeji Hashimoto
Roy Tomeji Hashimoto, of ‘Ele‘ele, passed away on Dec. 14, 2023, surrounded by many loving family members. He was born on April 12, 1954, class of 1972 of Waimea High School. He was the sole proprietor of Tome’s Plumbing Service for 53 years. A professional, meticulous, perfectionist, trustworthy and genuine master plumber.
He was preceded in death by parents Tomeichi and Satoko Hashimoto and brother Peter.
He is survived by wife Bernice, daughter Naomi, son Tom, sister Frances (Ralph) Fujinaka, brothers Allen (Ok Kee) and Walter (Barbara) Hashimoto, nephews Jason and Randy Fujinaka and Patrick Hashimoto, grandnephews Wesley, Randon, Rytis and Aeden Fujinaka.
Services will be held on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2024, at Garden Island Mortuary. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. followed by in Loving Memory of Roy T. Hashimoto. The family suggests casual attire and requests no koden (monetary gifts) or flowers.

Claridad “Inos” Madrid Tangonan, 94, of Lihu‘e, passed away on Dec. 29, 2023. She was born in Lihu‘e on June 25, 1929, and worked as a papaya packer at Best Fruit Cannery.
She was preceded in passing by her loving husband of 75 years, Florencio Tangonan, son Macario Tangonan, parents Ignacio and Juliana Madrid, siblings Venancio Madri, Esabella Ramelb, Rosalina Fernandez and Napoleon Madrid.
Claridad “Inos” is survived by her children Rizal Tangonan, Consolacion Antonio, Noralyn (Nestor) Arizabal, grandchildren Agnes (Jose) Bermudez, Alvin Antonio, Lhaylalyn Tangonan, Rotsen Arizabal, Cheryl Arizabal and great-grandchildren Lorenalyn and Jhayden Maldonado.
A celebration of life will be held at Immaculate Conception Church on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024, with visitation from 8 to 9:45 a.m., a funeral Mass at 10 a.m., and burial to follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.

Sarah Kawaiwaionapua Kaneholani
Sarah Kawaiwaionapua Kaneholani, born on June 1, 1973, of Anahola, passed away peacefully at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Nov. 3, 2023, at the age of 50 after a 10-year-long battle with cancer.
Sarah was preceded in death by her father David Kaneholani Sr., paternal grandparents Herbert and Elizabeth Kaneholani, maternal grandparents Charles and Haruko Kiilau, numerous aunties, uncles and cousins.
She is survived by her mother Charlotte Kiilau Kaneholani, companion Clement, children Samuel, Jasen and Bruce Kaneholani, Dawn-Lei (Hoku) Ricciardi, Kehau (Jose) Santiago, Olinda (Kekoa) Figueroa, Ali‘i (Xannie) Kaneholani, Taisen Kaneholani, Kaikoa and Kahea Ujano-Kaneholani, siblings Masao (Lehua) Iopa, Mollie “Pua” Gardner, Charla (John) Brock, David Kaneholani Jr., Maycia (Guy) Matsuyoshi and Kealaonaona Iopa, grandchildren Josiah, Johnny, Shanalyn, Kealohi, Kaimalie, Anela, Masina, Akela, Ha‘aheo, Kealoha, Alaka‘i and Keelan, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by her hanai mother Mervelee “Midge” Asai, numerous hanai children including Jimmy (Nikki) Alisna, Alijah Barino, Shy Kaneholani, Loke (Corey) Rivera and Shana (Calvin) Kuriki, hanai grandchildren Makalapua, Jaysie-Jean, Corey, Mason-Dean, Breeana, Brittney, Shane, Bryanna, Shaisten, Bryancie, Jaevn and Noah.
A celebration of life is Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024, at Anahola Beach Park. Visitation is from 9 to 10 a.m. followed by service at 10 a.m.
