LeRoy ‘Lee’ Kaleonani Appianni Aguiar
LeRoy “Lee” Kaleonani Appianni Aguiar, of Kapa‘a, passed away on Dec. 11, 2023 at his home at the age of 88. He was born in Honolulu on April 10, 1935. He was a retired Fire Captain for County of Kaua‘i and served in the U.S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by parents August and Daisy Aguiar, wife Shirley Aguiar, son David Aguiar, sister Sylvia Bertlemen and grandson Kenny M.F. Aguiar.
He is survived by daughters Carol (Billy) Ramos, Norma Dale (Russell N.) Oyama, Yvette Joseph, Nadine (Bryan) Pruitt, son August (Jade) Aguiar, sisters Wendy Gonzalez, Elithe Kahn, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Private services will be held.

Milisav Michele Nedeljkovic
Milisav Michele Nedeljkovic, of Lihu‘e, passed away on Dec. 4, 2023, at the age of 97. He was born in Yugoslavia on April 6, 1926. He was a retired carpenter.
He was preceded in death by wife Gisele Marie Joseph Baron, father Ljubisa Nedeljkovic and mother Zivka Jovic.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Robyn E. ‘Malu’ Dahle
Robyn E. “Malu” Dahle passed away on Dec. 1, 2023, in Honolulu at the age of 53. She was born on Nov. 18, 1970, in Lihu‘e.
She was preceded in death by father Bill Dahle and grandparents Charles and Loke Kaliloa.
She is survived by mother Rose Dahle of Anahola, significant other Darrick Banasihan, daughter Tiara Rose K. Cummings-Dahle of Anahola, four grandchildren, and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
A service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2023, at the Garden Island Mortuary in Lawa‘i. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to noon followed by service at noon. The family requests casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Eugene Edward Fernandez, of Kekaha, passed away on Dec. 14, 2023, in Waimea at the age of 51. He was born on June 1, 1972, in Waimea. He was a special education teacher, security guard and coach.
He was preceded in death by father Edward Fernandez.
He is survived by mother Georgia Fernandez of Kekaha, sisters Gina (Rod) Fernandez Vallejos of Niceville, Florida, Jacquelyn Fernandez of Puhi, Carolyn (Erik) Fernandez Santos of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Fred J. Bermudez, of Lihu‘e, passed away on Dec. 13, 2023, in Lihu‘e at the age of 74. He was born on Nov. 8, 1949, in the Philippines. He was a retired building maintenance worker at Kaua‘i Resorts.
He was preceded in death by daughter Czarina Bermudez Ibana, parents Marcelina and Ruben Bermudez and brother Danilo Bermudez.
He is survived by his longtime partner Corazon Martinez, son Justin Bermudez of Hanapepe, daughters Grace Bermudez (Avelino Sevidal Jr.) of Honolulu, Karla Bermudez of Honolulu, three grandchildren, brother Roy Bermudez (Nita) of Lawa‘i, sisters Elizabeth Bermudez of Carson, California, Emilia Navarro (Antonio Navarro) of Hanapepe, Maria Vega of Carson, California, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service is Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kalaheo. Visitation is from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass at 10 a.m. The family requests casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Ayane K. Sela aka Jonathan K. Beniamina, of Makaweli, passed away on Dec. 9, 2023, at Ka‘awanui Village at the age of 37. She was born on Feb. 15, 1986, in Waimea.
She was preceded in death by father Ronald E. Beniamina Sr.
She is survived by mother Darline Beniamina, brothers Jacey Kanahele of Kekaha, Ronald Beniamina Jr. of Hanapepe, sisters Jenna Beniamina of Kaawanui, Roxanne Beniamina of ‘Ele‘ele, Rosanna Beniamina of Kaawanui, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service is Friday, Dec. 29, 2023, at the Garden Island Mortuary in Lawa‘i. Visitation is from 9 to 11 a.m. followed by a celebration of life.

Sheilah Helen Rego, of Hanama‘ulu, passed away on Dec. 10, 2023, in Hanama‘ulu at the age of 78. She was born on Nov. 4, 1945, in Lihu‘e.
She was preceded in death by father Louis K. Rego Sr., mother Emily Goias-Rego and sister Veralyn Kuulei Taniguchi.
She is survived by son Ricky (Michelle) Rego of Kapaia, daughters Dawn Rego of Hanama‘ulu, Ursula Rego of Hanama‘ulu, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, brothers Dennis (Mercy) Rego Sr. of Lihu‘e and Louis K. Rego Jr. of Hawai‘i Island.
