Merry Christmas, Kaua‘i!
Merry Christmas, Kaua‘i!
It’s Christmas, so the Pau Hana Market won’t happen, today. This gives the plants time to prepare for New Year’s Day when the Pau Hana Market reopens to welcome the New Year 2024 on Jan. 1 at Kukui Grove Center.
Santa’s House was buzzing with activity (Mrs. Claus said Friday night was explosive), and Mrs. Claus said the way you can tell who is the real Mrs. Claus is to check for the magic ring. Apparently, there are a lot of Mrs. Claus characters appearing this year because of the movie.
Just down the walkway, kudos to Sara Miura and Deja Vu Surf Hawai‘i who allowed students (mostly Kaua‘i High School students) to wrap Christmas presents as a fundraiser for their respective causes … Hunter Corpuz, on Friday, was raising funds for his Eagle Scout project of building a small pavilion on the school’s campus. The Kaua‘i High School girls soccer team took shifts to fill the Saturday calendar.
Kaua‘i High School Project Grad chair Kaleo Carvalho was distributing golf balls for a Golf Ball Drop (no tournament, just the ball drop) that features a grand prize of $2,000. Other prizes are a $500 travel voucher from Southwest Airlines, a helicopter tour from Airborne Aviation, rounds of golf and more. Proceeds from the ball drop will go toward this year’s Project Grad (Kaua‘i High School graduating seniors are scheduling graduation in the new Kaua‘i High School gymnasium!). Anyone interested in getting golf balls for the golf ball drop on Jan. 28, 2024, (it’s a Sunday!) can call Kaleo at 808-639-3393.
