Kaua‘i Hospice invites anyone who has experienced the death of a loved one, regardless of when that death occurred, to attend its annual candle lighting memorial, and light a candle in memory of that loved one.
There is no charge to attend any of the three events that are scheduled.
On Dec. 4, the candle lighting memorial will take place at the Immaculate Conception Church in Kapaia from 6 to 7 p.m.
The second candle lighting memorial will take place at Hanapepe Hawaiian Congregational Church in downtown Hanapepe across the street from Bobbie’s and the Hanapepe Cafe. That service will take place from 6 to 7 p.m.
Kaua‘i Hospice wraps up its 2023 tour on Dec. 11 at the Saint Sylvester Catholic Church in Kilauea from 6 to 7 p.m.
Orders for the Kaua‘i Hospice Fourth Annual Lanterns of Love are also being accepted by visiting its website at www.kauaihospice.org/lanterns-of-love/. The display will be available for public viewing daily between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. from Dec. 15 through Jan. 15, 2024.
Lanterns may also be in short supply so ordering early is encouraged. For more information on the candle lighting memorials, or the 4th Annual Lanterns of Love, visit www.kauaihospice.org, or call 808-245-7277.
