Ernest S. Pabustan
Ernest S. Pabustan, 81, passed away at his home in Kapa‘a on Nov. 12, 2023. He was born in Sta. Anna, Arayat, Pampanga, Philippines, on Jan. 14, 1942. He worked at Clark Airbase as a waiter, then moved to Kaua‘i where he worked at Kaua‘i Resort, Coco Palms, and then Tropical Smith’s.
He was preceded in passing by son Stephen Pabustan, parents Fernando and Trinidad Pabustan and seven siblings.
Ernest is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Annie Pabustan, children Ferdinand (Gigetteann) Pabustan, Maria Genedina Pabustan, Maria Cecilia (Brad) Gipolan, Theresa (David) Mow, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two siblings.
A celebration of life will be held at St. Catherine Church. Visitation starting from 8:15 to 9:45 a.m., a funeral Mass at 10 a.m., and burial will follow at St. Catherine Church Kealia Cemetery.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
