Samuel Kekoakaua Woodward Sr.
Samuel Kekoakaua Woodward Sr., 79, of Kilauea, passed away on Oct. 24, 2023. He was born in Honolulu, Hawai‘i, on Nov. 10, 1943, and retired from Security Services with Princeville Resort.
He was preceded in death by his father Samuel Kekoanawelu Sr., mother Edith Pohaku Ho‘oikaika, brothers Stanley Kamaki, Dayne Saffery Ku‘uipo and sister Heather Hokulani.
He is survived by his wife Margaret, sons Rodney (Cathy) Woodward, Samuel (Bethany) Woodward Jr., four daughters and two hanai daughters, Darnel Woodward, Sherry Woodward, Shanell (Brian) Gerardo, Sharon (Cody) Graham, Nora (Noe) Pahinui, Tobey (Lance) Gonsalves, siblings Hayden (Jackie) Woodward, Llewelyn (Nadine) Woodward, Darriel Woodward, Celeste Castillo, 17 grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Samuel’s life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, at Kaua‘i Christian Fellowship North Shore with visitation from 10 a.m. and services beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Kilauea Japanese Cemetery.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Clarence Keichi Higashi
Clarence Keichi Higashi, of ‘Ele‘ele, passed away on Oct. 22, 2023, at his residence at the age of 81. He was born on Oct. 26, 1941, in ‘Ele‘ele. He was retired from the State of Hawai‘i, Department of Accounting & General Services (DAGS).
He was preceded in death by parents Kumao and Matsuno Higashi and brother-in-law James Chen.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years Lilibeth of Lihu‘e, son Clesson H. (Liza) Higashi of Philadelphia, daughter Alison A. Higashi of Lihu‘e, brothers Robert (Kazue) Higashi of California, Dennis (Aileen) Higashi of Lihu‘e, sister Penelope Chen of Taiwan, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023, at the Garden Island Mortuary in Lawa‘i. Visitation is from 9 to 10 a.m. followed by a celebration of life at 10 a.m.
The family requests casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Albert T. Nagata
Albert T. Nagata, of Lihu‘e, passed away on Sept. 8, 2023, in Lihu‘e at the age of 92. He was born on Aug. 30, 1931, on O‘ahu. He was a curricular specialist with the Department of Education.
He was preceded in death by Chiseko F. Nagata.
He is survived by sons Craig B. Nagata of Honolulu, Jon K. (Ann) Nagata of Honolulu, grandchild Kelcie K. Nagata, brothers James (Katherine) Nagata of Honolulu and Paul Nagata Sr. of Honolulu.
A private service was held.

Ronald Charles Britton
Ronald Charles Britton passed away on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023, at the age of 66 years old. He was born on Sept. 9, 1957, in Waukegan, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by parents Leonard and Sally Britton.
He is survived by wife Myrtle “Lovey” M. Britton of Oma‘o, son Brandon Imaikalani Britton of Oma‘o, daughter Norah Kaikilanialiiwahineopura (Garrett) Lyman of Israel, three grandchildren, sisters Cheryl (Robert) Stewart of Home, Washington, Patricia (Karl) Rohlfing of Haiku, Maui, numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Kalaheo Ward. Visitation will be from 8:30 to 10 a.m. and funeral services to begin at 10 a.m.

Dominic Martin Murguia passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2023, at the age of 59 years old. He was born on July 12, 1964, at Oceanside, California.
He was preceded in death by father Stanley Murguia and stepfather Bob Fox.
He is survived by daughters Brooke (Abraham) Paleo of Oceanside, California, Brittany (Nate Merkle) Murguia of Oceanside, California, three grandchildren, mother Josephine Fox, brothers Matthew Murguia of Aiken, South Carolina, Joe (Lani) Murguia of Reno, Nevada, sisters Debbie Arii of Hanapepe, Kaua‘i, Michelle Murguia of Koloa, Kaua‘i, Rory (Dan Schmaltz) Murguia of Aiken, South Carolina, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Terance Kazuo Morimoto passed away on Oct. 26, 2023, in Lihu‘e, at the age of 58. He was born on July 24, 1965, in Lihu‘e. He was a self-employed business owner.
He was preceded in death by father Aln Katusmi Morimoto.
He is survived by wife Rebecca Morales Morimoto, mother Shirley Aiko Kakehi, numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
