NAWILIWILI — A road resurfacing project will shutter portions of Hulemalu Road this week.
The roadwork is scheduled to take place through Friday, Oct. 27, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the County of Kaua‘i Public Works Department said in an update on Friday.
One lane will remain open to accommodate alternating traffic in both directions for the work being done by contractor Maui Kupono Builders. Local residents will be provided access to the area during the course of the project.
“Please make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary road closures, use alternate routes, and allow extra time to get to destinations,” the Department of Public Works said.
“During this time, no parking will be allowed in the work zones. Flaggers will be positioned at the work zone to direct traffic.”
For more information or questions about the project, people are advised to contact Maui Kupono Builders at 808-369-1800 or Todd Ozaki at the County of Kaua‘i at 808-241-4845.
