Will Leonard, beloved husband, son, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many, passed away at home in Princeville, Kaua‘i, on Aug. 28, 2023.
There will be a celebration of his life at the Hanalei Pier on Oct. 14, 2023, at 9 a.m.
Henry Toshio Hamada
Henry Toshio Hamada, 93, passed away in Kapa‘a on Aug. 21, 2023. He was born on Oct. 16, 1929, in Wailua. He worked as a groundskeeper at Coco Palms and custodian at Kapa‘a Elementary School.
He was preceded in passing by parents Kanichi and Chieno Hamada, brothers George, James, Wallace, Albert, Samuel, sisters Ruth, Nellie and granddaughter Shelby Hamada.
Henry is survived by wife Marian C. Hamada, sons Kelvin (Dawn) Hamada of Honolulu, Rex (Suzie) Hamada of Mililani, daughters Susan (Lance) Kubota of Kapa‘a, Stella (Jeff) Daniels of Seattle, grandchildren Devin (Marci) Hamada, Courtney (Devin) Hamada, Nicole Kubota, Shantelle (Adam) Morris, Heather Kubota, Jarrett (Trish) Hamada, Kira Daniels, Jana (Jesse) Colandrea, Jordan (Jessica) Chun, Jared (Brandi) Chun, Joslyn (Casey) Hamada, great-grandchildren Evan Morris, Remy Morris, Connor Morris, Micah Morris, Raiden Hamada, Mitzi Kubota, Sadame Kubota, Ethan Chun, Malachi Chun, Chloe Colandrea, Emma Colandrea, Liam Mira, Tailea Chun, Tahia Chun, Kole Hamada, Dax Hamada, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private family celebration of Henry’s life will be held at Garden Island Mortuary on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023, starting at 9 a.m.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Eula Haulani Holt Sablan
Eula Haulani Holt Sablan, of Anahola, passed away on Sept. 15, 2023, at her home at the age of 84. She was born on Aug. 13, 1939, in Waimea, Kaua‘i.
She was preceded in death by husband Leonard Sablan, parents Bennett Holt Sr. and Annie Mabel Roberts, grandchildren Shane Kaleo Iniki Fernandez and baby Paul, siblings Bennett Holt Jr., Ronnie Holt Sr., Annette Spencer and Hattet Lihue Miller.
She is survived by sons Sheldon (Karrie) Fernandez of Saipan, Shane (Casidee) Fernandez of Kekaha, Ross (Faye) Fernandez of Kekaha, daughters Eula Ann (Moses) Miyashiro of Anahola, Annette (Robert) Fernandez-Ventura of Kalaheo, Patricia (David Duenas) Fernandez of Saipan, 23 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, brothers Richard Waalani Sr. of Kaua‘i, Norman Holt Sr. of Kaua‘i, James Anakalea of Kaua‘i, sister Wanda Aki of Anahola, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held at St. Theresa Church in Kekaha on Oct. 7, 2023. Public visitation is from 9 to 10 a.m. with Mass to follow. The family requests aloha attire and welcomes flowers.

Frederick David Dugay Constantino
Frederick David Dugay Constantino, 53, of Kilauea, passed away on Sept. 2, 2023, at Straub Medical Hospital. He was born on June 8, 1970, at Wilcox Medical Center. He was a housing specialist in Kaua‘i at Catholic Charities Hawai‘i.
He was preceded in death by father Francisco Subia Constantino and uncle Felix Subia Constantino.
He is survived by mother Ardelina Ramil Dugay Constantino, uncle William Ovalles, aunt Bernarda Dugay Constantino, brothers John Charles Dugay Constantino, Christopher Nino (Nichelle) Dugay Constantino, nephew Gabriel Constantino, niece Eliana Constantino, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and godchildren.
Family and Friends may visit with the family on Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, at Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary in Koloa starting at 2 p.m.
A service is Saturday, Oct. 14, at St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Kilauea. Visitation begins at 8:30 a.m., Mass at 10 a.m., and burial will follow at St. Catherine Cemetery in Kapa‘a. The family requests aloha attire and welcomes flowers.
