LIHU‘E — The summer roadwork season comes to an end this week with some projects drifting into fall, including an ongoing job along Kuhio Highway in Wailua, the Hawai‘i Department of Transportation said in its weekly update.
The following is a list of lane closures scheduled around Kaua‘i. Roadwork is weather permitting.
Anahola
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible for grass cutting in either direction, between the vicinity of Puu Hale Loop and Aliomanu Road, from Monday, Sept. 18, through Friday, Sept. 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Kealia
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible for grass cutting in either direction, in the vicinity of Mailihuna Road and Pu U Hale Loop, on Monday, Sept. 18, through the morning of Friday, Sept. 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Princeville
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 560) is possible for slope stabilization in either direction between the vicinity of Hanalei Plantation Road and Hanalei Bridge from Monday, Sept. 18, through Friday, Sept. 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Puhi
A single lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible for tree trimming in either direction, in the vicinity of mile marker 2.1 and Koloa Road, on Monday, Sept 18 through Friday, Sept. 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Wailua
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in the northbound direction between North Leho Drive and Kuamo‘o Road, on Monday Sept. 18, through Friday, Sept. 22, from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., for installation on pins in the bridge deck of the Mayor Bryan J. Baptiste Memorial Bridge.
