Silvestre Visaya Udarbe
Silvestre Visaya Udarbe, of Kekaha, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023, at Kaua‘i Veteran Memorial Hospital at the age of 90. He was a retired irrigator at Kekaha Sugar Company.
He is survived by wife Ella Udarbe, daughters Thelma (Larry) Santiago, Rose Udarbe and Dominga (Clyde) Ajimura, sons Cris (Cleo) Udarbe, Joel (Yvonne) Udarbe and Silvestre Udarbe Jr., sister Julianna Gagto, brothers Juan (Lucena) Udarbe and Estanislao Udarbe, 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Sept. 30, at St. Theresa Church in Kekaha. Visitation begins at 8:30 a.m., Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., and burial will follow at Kekaha Public Cemetery.
Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
Rolando Antonio Espinosa
Rolando Antonio Espinosa, of Kapa‘a, passed away on Aug. 1, 2023 at the age of 90. He was born in Cuba on Jan. 19, 1933. He was a retired factory worker.
He was preceded in death by parents Rogelio and Constancia Espinosa, wife Francisca Espinosa and son Xavier Espinosa.
He is survived by daughter Susana Iaskolk Rick, son Rolando (Celia) Espinosa and four grandchildren.
Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, Aug. 30, at Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary in Koloa. Visitation begins at 10 a.m., service at 11 a.m., and burial will follow at Kalapaki Bay Memorial Park in Lihu‘e.
