If it’s Ron Toki, it must be the first Thursday of the month as fans of music of the 1950s and 1960s start collecting (a kupuna convention?) at Kukui Grove food court for a lunchtime concert that starts at 11:30 a.m. (on the first Thursday of the month).

Ronnie Masumura (he didn’t go to Maui with The Rookies) said the music Ron Toki plays is not psychedelic rock, but just good music from the 50s and 60s … John Ochoco wanted to know how Ron can flow an hour’s worth of good music just from memory. Queenie Daligdig said the first Thursday of the month is “Teddy’s Day Out” to enjoy lunch and savor the sweet sounds that attract even visitors from Las Vegas (who’s having the 60th reunion?).
