Jeanette Sanae Kawamura
Jeanette Sanae Kawamura, 83, of Wailua Homesteads, passed away at home on May 15, 2023, with loved ones at her side. She was born in Waimea on June 6, 1939, and was a domestic engineer with a passion for volunteering at Wilcox Medical Center.
She was preceded in passing by husband Harry Akiyoshi Kawamura and parents Clinton G. and Bernice “Satomi” Shiraishi.
She is survived by children Jon (Maija) Kawamura of Oregon, Glen (Malia) Kawamura, Barry (Joanne) Kawamura and Amy Kawamura, and nine grandchildren.
A private celebration of life was held for the family on July 12.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Erlinda ‘Erla’ Bukoski
Erlinda “Erla” Bukoski passed away on June 15, 2023 in Lawa‘i. She was born on April 30, 1949 in Lihu‘e. She worked for the Hawai‘i Department of Education as a teacher and was a lifelong creator and crafter.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Michael Bukoski, parents Hilario Leanio and Juanita Malate Leanio, brother Hilario “Larry” Leanio Jr., father-in-law Manuel Bukoski and stepmother Eva Leanio.
She is survived by daughters Claressa (Frederick) Casticimo and Kristen Bukoski, grandsons Erick Casticimo, Kolby Casticimo and Avery Casticimo, Micah Bukoski and Landen Kaneholani, sisters Marian “Judi” Madijanon, Mabel Espiritu and Donna Leanio-Ahuna, brothers Rudy Leanio and Eric (Michelle) Leanio, sister-in-law Loretta (Jim) Bonilla, mother-in-law Margaret Bukoski, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to join us on Saturday, July 15, at St. Raphael Church in Koloa. Visitation is from 9 to 10:30 a.m. with Mass to follow.

Norman Shohichi Inoue
Norman Shohichi Inoue, of Kalaheo, passed away on June 26, 2023, in Kalaheo, at the age of 95. He was born on Jan. 7, 1928. He was a veteran of the 135-Pound Class and was an electrical engineer.
He was preceded in death by wife Tamiko Nonaka Inoue and brother Herbert Inoue.
He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service is at St. Raphael Church in Koloa on Saturday, July 22. Visitation is from 9 to 10 a.m. with Mass to follow.
The family suggests aloha attire. The family requests no koden (monetary gifts) and that flowers be omitted.

Florendo Guillermo Ramos
Florendo Guillermo Ramos passed away on June 26, 2023, in Lihu‘e at the age of 81. He was born on Nov. 30, 1941, in Bacsil, Bangui, Ilocos Norte, Philippines.
He was a heavy equipment operator for McBryde Sugar Co.
He was preceded in death by parents Calixto and Silbina Ramos, sisters Maria Ramos, Emilia Ramos, Paciencia Ganutan and Esperanza Ramos, brothers Benjamin Ramos and Fermin Ramos and daughter Charleen Ramos.
He is survived by wife Teresita “Tessie” Ramos, daughters Christine (Carl) Caberto and Cheryl (Brian) Cabacungan, son Edward Ramos, sisters Maxima Padilla and Lourdes Pascual and three grandchildren.
Friends may visit the family on Saturday, Aug. 5, at Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary in Koloa. Visitation begins at 8:30 a.m., prayer at 10 a.m., and burial will follow at St. Raphael Catholic Church Cemetery.

Felix Viernes Erorita Sr. passed away on June 13, 2023, in the Philippines at the age 70. He was born on Oct. 20, 1952, in the Philippines. He was a bus driver.
He was preceded in death by wife Nelia Erorita, parents Lijardo and Rosalia Erorita and son Felijar Erorita.
He is survived by sons Felix (Marygene) Erorita Jr., Neleo (Shallee) Erorita and Richjoy (Monica) Erorita, daughter Rose (Eddie) Motilla, sisters Remedios (Eduardo) Gudoy and Gloria Suniga, brothers Edison Erorita, Regoberto (Yolanda) Erorita and Recarte Erorita, 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A service is Saturday, Aug. 12, at Aloha Church Kaua‘i in Lihu‘e. Visitation begins at 9 a.m., service at 10 a.m., and burial will follow at Kalapaki Bay Memorial Park at noon.

Rudy Madrid Fernandez, of Kapa‘a, passed away on June 23, 2023 at Wilcox Medical Center at the age of 55. He was born on Nov. 22, 1967 in Ilocos Norte, Philippines. He was a gardener/labor.
He was preceded in death by parents Francisco Y. Fernandez and Rosalina M. Fernandez and brother Enrique M. Fernandez.
He is survived by wife Maida Fernandez, sons Ray Rex Labrador of O‘ahu, Jhevin Salvador-Fernandez of O‘ahu and Roy John (Zamira) Fernandez of O‘ahu, daughters Chellcy (Crystal) Koerte-Fernandez of Kaua‘i, Danielle (Demarco) Morris of Ohio, Deonna Guy-Fernandez of Ohio and Sharmin Fernandez of Washington, nine grandchildren, brothers Irineo (Rosita) Fernandez, Reynaldo (Lena) Fernandez, Rolly (Betty) Fernandez and Rely (Janet) Fernandez, sisters Gabriella (Ludovico) Ramiscal, Erlinda Sagucio, Glory (Gerardo) Aceret, Yolanda (Julius) Corpuz, Lydia (Nelson) Villanueva and Marlyn Stoner, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
