Edwin Vea of The Beach House said this Sunday (need to take a break Saturday from all those Friday graduations!) is The Beach House Craft Fair from 9 a.m. (Jean Souza likes the early hour so she can shop before needing to be at work) to 1 p.m. on the lawn of The Beach House restaurant in Kukui‘ula.

Edwin said there are at least 40 vendors signed up for this event that comes a week ahead of the Wailua Creators’ Fair at the Hilton Garden Inn Wailua Bay Kaua‘i, where Pyramid Insurance will be hosting a hurricane preparedness event ahead of hurricane season that starts June 1. Does la nina weather pattern mean we have more or less storms?
Kudos, Charlene Dorcey and the Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and Dr. Sean McAlister on awarding all those scholarships to Waimea High School (their graduation is tonight!) graduates.
Kudos, too, Kapa‘a Lions Club (they’re still selling those jewelry fundraiser pieces during the Kapa‘a Business Association’s First Saturday), on bringing those roses (new rose farm in Kapaia, said Janice Bond), and hand-made cards for all the mothers residing at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital in Kapa‘a on Mother’s Day.
