If you’re lucky, you might get to run into one or more (there were just too many people on Friday when the exhibit opened), of the three artists — Shannon Hiramoto (did we miss Mu‘umu‘u Month?), Samuel Schryver (he said Common Ground in Kilauea has an event coming up, too), or Lora Finelli (great work on the Poem Piece!) — on a visit to the special three-artist exhibit taking place at the Kaua‘i Society of Artists gallery at Kukui Grove Center in Lihu‘e.

One of the features of the exhibit is the “Awe Ful” gift shop, where viewers can pick up actual pieces by the participating artists. The exhibit is available daily from noon to 6 p.m. through May 24.
OK, for all those who have been waiting, the Kaua‘i Okinawa Festival is coming on May 26 and 27 to the Kaua‘i Veterans Center in Lihu‘e. Hours will be from 6 to 10 p.m. each night.
Before that, check out the new additions to Grove Farm Market (this is a really good weekend for that), like the Burrito Bros., and is SuperHeroes “Zuzhi” thai coming back?
Ferdinand Dosono (Isaiah Dosono is still the president!) said the marinated pork belly is still a best seller at Kaua‘i Kim Chee, and you need to get there early before Nikol Nonaka sells out of those half moons (apple or coconut) at the Nonaka Farms tent. If you’re lucky, Coach Kell Nonaka might be off from his day job and helping.
Congratulations to all the graduates of Kaua‘i’s public high schools! Enjoy the moment, but be safe!
