Yvonne Hufana Carineo
Yvonne Hufana Carineo, 77, of Kea‘au, Hawai‘i Island, died on April 3, 2023, at the Life Care Center of Hilo. She was born on Aug. 17, 1945 in Hanapepe. She was a member of Team Tennis, numerous senior softball clubs, and Senior Pickleball at the Kea‘au Armory.
She is survived by sons John Rapozo III of Hilo, Hawai‘i Island, Adam Rapozo of O‘ahu and Edwin (Tisha) Rapozo of Kaua‘i, daughters Bernadette (Joseph) Gutierrez of Oregon and Stephanie (Joshua Benevides) Rockstroh of Mt. View, Hawai‘i Island, brothers Frank Carineo, Jerry Carineo, Edwin Carineo and Ricky Carineo, all of Kaua‘i, sisters Lorraine Manus of Kaua‘i, Roseline Hosaka of Kaua‘i, Joanne Johansen of Mt. View, Hawai‘i Island, Frances Kahailua of Hilo, Hawai‘i Island, and Laverne Boyston of Missouri, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, Hilo. A celebration of life is at 5 p.m.
Scattering of her ashes will take place on Saturday, April 29, at Salt Pond Beach Park on Kaua‘i. The family suggests casual attire and requests that flowers be omitted.

Janice Fujiko Fujiuchi
Janice Fujiko Fujiuchi, 78, passed away in Honolulu on April 2, 2023. The daughter of the late Akitaka and Sueko Fujiuchi of Waipouli, she was born on Oct. 30, 1944 in Wilcox Hospital. She attended Kapa‘a Elementary &High School and Kaua‘i Technical School. She was employed for many years at F.W. Woolworth Co.
She is survived by brother Kelvin Fujiuchi of Pasadena, California, two aunts and many cousins.
Private services were held. The family requests no koden (monetary gifts).
Rogelio ‘Roger’ Ganotisi Sr.
Rogelio “Roger” Ganotisi Sr., 73, of Lihu‘e, passed away on March 23, 2023.
He was born on April 9, 1949 to Absalon Agonoy Ganotisi and Florentina Balisacan Lahip Ganotisi, in Sarrat, Ilocos Norte, Philippines.
He was predeceased by parents Absalon Ganotisi and Florentina Ganotisi and son Ruel Ganotisi.
He is survived by brother Constante (Magdelena) Ganotisi, sister Ursula (Lionel) Pagador, sons Eduardo Balisacan, Rolante Ganotisi and Rogelio Ganotisi Jr., daughters Rhonora Ganotisi, Noralyn Ganotisi and Rolette Ganotisi, and 10 grandchildren.
Services are at Immaculate Conception in Lihu‘e on April 22. Viewing begins at 8 a.m., with Mass at 10 a.m. and burial to follow at Lihu‘e Cemetery. He will be buried beside his mother Florentina Ganotisi.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens &Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
