LIHU‘E — Kaua‘i High School swept its Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation tennis series over Waimea High School to add to its Senior Day festivities at Po‘ipu Kai tennis courts on Saturday.
The girls and boys were 5-0, 5-0 in favor of Kaua‘i High School, which celebrated its senior captains. That included Kate Nakamura and Tanner Hubbard. Other Red Raider seniors being celebrated included Grace Aguilara, Parker Reed, Kyean Fort, Kyler Konishi, and Calvin Rockwell.
On the eastside, Kapa‘a and Island School split its series with the Lady Warriors going 5-0 against the Lady Voyagers, and the Voyager boys claiming a 5-0 day over Kapa‘a.
According to the KIF schedule, Kapa‘a will travel to the Waimea High School tennis courts on Saturday for the final regular-season matches that start at 10 a.m. Kaua‘i High School will play Island School at Po‘ipu Kai tennis courts starting at noon.
Following the seeding meeting on Monday, the state qualifying meets will take place on April 20 and 21.
