Hapa Ramen was one of the vendors dispensing Flavors of Kukui‘ula food that included Japanese curry on rice with either pork belly (Michael said the secret must be in the rub) or karaage chicken. Kudos, Hapa Ramen, which will be celebrating a grand opening later in February once everything is put in place. Finally, ramen on the South Shore!
Kudos to Stacie Chiba-Miguel, Alexander & Baldwin regional manager, Pillare Mukai (mahalo for saving that space in valet parking), and all The Shops’ crew on hosting all those people wishing to offer li see (red envelopes containing $$$) to the lions as a thank-you for good luck, and wishes for good fortune for the Year of the Rabbit.
Diners enjoying afternoon and evening meals (and cocktails) from Merriman’s, Hapa Ramen and Dolphin got a ringside seat to all the excitement that made Stacie and Pillare call the fire department and police department to forewarn them of the Chinese New Year celebration.
Kung Hee Fat Choy!
