PUHI — Nancy Nagramada will assume the head of school duties at Island School effective July 1, states an announcement by the school.
“During her interview at Island School, Ms. Nagramada impressed the school community with her capacity to be an inspiring communicator and a bridge-builder who instills trust,” the announcement states.
Nagramada received her master’s degree in education administration from Teachers College at Columbia University, where she was also a Klingenstein Fellow. She earned her bachelor’s degree in anthropology and education from Hunter College.
“I will work tirelessly to foster meaningful relationships with each student as well as all faculty and staff, and to sustain thriving partnerships with the parenting and alumni communities of Island School to ensure the next stage of Island School’s future is one that fulfills the mission in new and meaningful ways,” Nagramada told Island School.
Nagramada brings an accomplished career of more than 25 years to experience in a variety of educational settings on both the East and West Coasts.
She currently serves as the assistant head of school, and head of middle school, at The San Francisco School in San Francisco, California.
