Blas A. Robledo
Blas A. Robledo, 92, passed away at Wilcox Medical Center on Jan. 3, 2023. He was born in Buguey, Cagayan, Philippines, on Feb. 3, 1930, and worked as a custodian at Kapa‘a High School.
He was preceded in passing by parents Tranquilino and Isabel Robledo, siblings Helen Del Rosario, Benigno Robledo, Carlina Jimenez and Avelina Bumagat.
He is survived by wife Florida Robledo, children Jose (Leonisa) Robledo, Johnny (Lilibeth) Robledo, Raynald (Justine) Robledo and Analyn Sasis, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life is Friday, Jan. 20, at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens &Funeral Home, with visitation from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and burial to immediately follow. The family suggests casual attire.

Frances Sadako
Nishikawa Galdeira
Frances Sadako Nishikawa Galdeira, 87, of Honolulu, passed away on Dec. 17, 2022. She was born on May 31, 1935, in Lihu‘e. She was a retired supervisor with Nursing Home Without Walls, state of Hawai‘i.
She was preceded in death by husband Earl Galdeira, parents Masanori and Yoshiko Nishikawa, brothers Edwin and Henry, and sister-in-law Ann Nishikawa.
She is survived by siblings Bessie Furushima and Herbert Nishikawa of Lihu‘e, sis ter-in-law Gladys Nishikawa of Los Angeles, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and caregivers Michael and Lorene Park.
She rests peacefully with her husband at Hawai‘i Veterans Cemetery Kane‘ohe, O‘ahu, Section 158-P, Site 7. Private services were held.
Maria Fuentes Yasay
Maria Fuentes Yasay passed away on Jan. 4, 2023, at Hale Kapuna Heritage Home, at the age 93. She was born on Dec. 17, 1929, in Ilocos Norte, Philippines. She was a housewife.
She was preceded in death by parents Eulogio and Matilde Fuentes, husband Domingo Yasay, sons Howard, Roy and Lorlen “Rollin,” granddaughter Kawaiola and great-grandson Kyngsley.
She is survived by sons Marvin (Maria “Vicky”) Yasay, Andres (Argea) Yasay, George Yasay, Delano Yasay and Christopher Yasay, 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit the family on Friday, Jan. 27, at Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary, with visitation from 10:30 a.m. followed by service at 11:30 a.m.

Richard Hirohi Nagoshi
Richard Hiroji Nagoshi passed away on Nov. 7, 2022 in Lihu‘e at the age of 84.
He was born on Oct. 22, 1938 in Kalaheo. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and an electronic technician.
He was preceded in death by father Tetsuro Nagoshi, mother Shizue Nagoshi, sisters Yuriko Tasaka and Evelyn Matsumoto and brothers Kunio Nagoshi and Douglas Nagoshi.
He is survived by sisters Aster Tateishi of Kalaheo, Charlotte Nagoshi of Honolulu and Vivian (Michael) Morimoto of California, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A service is Tuesday, Jan. 17, at the Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery, starting at 11 a.m.
Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
