Kaua‘i Lions Club member Jim Whitfield helps a Toys for Tots contributor, Saturday at the Kaua‘i Veterans Center collection site. There is just this coming weekend left to contribute to Toys for Tots before the collection site closes Sunday, Dec. 17.

Remember Stacy Haitsuka, who came over with the HGEA O‘ahu and Maui to participate in the Lights on Rice holiday parade? Well, her mom Ruth was here on Saturday to “get some love” from the Kaua‘i Association for Family and Community Education (Ruth is the state AFCE president!) said Laurie Ho (so, what is a Chinese Fire Drill?), the KAFCE president, on “Ruth’s last hurrah as state president and honoring and thanking her for leading the KAFCE [and other AFCE clubs] through the pandemic.” Ruth got a lot of those special KAFCE goodies that are all made with love and aloha.
