HONOLULU — Island School, which captured the Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation girls volleyball title on Tuesday, Oct. 18, has secured the No. 4 seed at the New City Nissan Hawai‘i High School Athletic Association girls volleyball Division II state championships, the HHSAA announced on Friday night.
HONOLULU — Island School, which captured the Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation girls volleyball title on Tuesday, Oct. 18, has secured the No. 4 seed at the New City Nissan Hawai‘i High School Athletic Association girls volleyball Division II state championships, the HHSAA announced on Friday night.
The Voyagers, chipping out the KIF title in a tight, five-set win over Waimea High, will see action on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Kalani High School, to face the winner of the Tuesday night No. 5 Waialua and Maryknoll competition. The Voyagers serve the first ball starting at 5 p.m.
Thee top seed for Division II is Le Jardin Academy, which enjoys a bye on Tuesday night when the Division II championship starts at Kalani. They will take the floor against the winner of the Tuesday night competition between Lana‘i High and Hawai‘i Preparatory Academy.
Konawaena High School, the No. 2 seed in Division II, will be playing at St. Louis School, facing the winner of the Tuesday night matchup between Kailua High and Hawai‘i Baptist Academy.
The No. 3 seed Seabury Hall of the Maui Interscholastic League will also be playing Wednesday, facing the winner of the Tuesday matchup between Damien High School and Ka‘u High School.
The championship contest for Division II is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 28, starting at 5 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center on the campus of the University of Hawai‘i in Manoa.
