Marc Iokepa Peahu
Marc Iokepa Peahu, 61, of Anahola, passed away on Oct. 17, 2022. He was born on Nov. 18, 1960, in Lihu‘e. He worked as a fisherman.
He was preceded in passing by mother Elizabeth Peahu and brother Paul (Roberta) Peahu.
He is survived by children Asha (Duston) Kubo, Kyla Peahu, Brinee Peahu, Zariana Peahu and Kawai Peahu and six grandchildren.
Private services were held by the family.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens &Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Justin Otto Kauakahi
Justin Otto Kauakahi passed away on Oct. 13, 2022, at the age of 28 at Wilcox Medical Center. He was born on July 24, 1994, in Lihu‘e.
He was a talented carpenter and free diver. Animals and kids loved him. He was known for his giving heart and listening ear. He left behind his dog Hanapa‘a.
He was preceded in death by father Keive Kauakahi, sister Tabitha Kauakahi and brother Silas Kauakahi.
He is survived by mother Oeita Kauakahi, brother Keive Kauakahi II, sisters Sommer, Monica and Chloe Kauakahi, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.
Friends may visit the family on Thursday, Oct. 27, at Lihu‘e Cemetery, with services beginning at 11 a.m. A celebration of life will follow at Lydgate Park starting at 2 p.m. in the field below the soccer field.
Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
Lt. Charles Augustus Naihe
Lt. Charles Augustus Naihe (retired), 66, passed away peacefully at his Wailua home on Friday, Sept. 30, 2022, surrounded by his family. Known to all as Charlie, he was born in Honolulu on June 23, 1956, to Edward Sr. and Irene Kahalelaukoa (Baker) Naihe and raised in Waimanalo. He was married to Terry Ashbaker (divorced, deceased), Marilyn Aniu (divorced), Dianne McCarthy (deceased) and Cynthia Tucker (estranged).
He is survived by his children Moani (Lee) Fields, Moana (Mark) Piena, Maria (M. Paul) Waite, Maile (David) Lindsay, Makana (Scott) Bacon, Mahi‘ai Naihe, Lawai‘a Naihe, Ihe (Emma) Naihe, and Pahoa (Chelsea) Naihe, 23 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, brothers Edward (Karen) Naihe, Newman (Priscilla) Naihe, Cy Naihe, Lane “Bula” Naihe and Kamuela Naihe, sisters Debra Flores, Valerie (Richard) Medina and Jade (Young) Bedell, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service is Saturday, Dec. 17, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, at 4561 Ohia Street, Kapa‘a, at 11 a.m. Visitation begins at 9 a.m.
