Mahalo, state Senate President Ron Kouchi, Stephanie Iona, Laurie Yoshida, Dallas Correa (when did he become a UH Rainbow Warrior?), Coach Rich Hill (he at one time had a TGI subscription mailed to him in California), and all those University of Hawai‘i baseball players for hosting a sold-out baseball clinic, where Lt. Gov. Josh Green was able to squeeze in a stop (mahalo, LG, for the nice pin!) after his Westside tour (Coach Basilio “Bunga” Fuertes knew the LG was coming when he and Carmila Udarde did their vegetable seedlings distribution Saturday at the ‘Ele‘ele Shopping Center.

Kaua‘i High School Athletic Trainer Kevin Cadiente was playing in the Gather Federal Credit Union golf tournament!
Mahalo, too, to Island School Coach Sean Magoun (he had to cut short his time at the cross country invitational to make the Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation air-rifle matches on time in Waimea) for coordinating the participation of cross country runners from Kalani High School (boy, those girls are F-A-S-T!), Hanalani and Moanalua High School (no wonder Lihu‘e Airport was so busy in the evening).
And, wasn’t that Brad Hiranaka on the microphone for the Kaua‘i Youth Football games that were taking place in Vidinha Stadium, next door to the baseball clinic?
A lot of excitment for one day, and that doesn’t include the KIF football game where Angel Madrid was waiting for his senior softball gang (yes, Garrett Agena was going to sacrifice himself to drive to Kapa‘a at night!).
