LIHU‘E — Misha Lam was excited, Friday morning as she finalized details of the Misha’s Pop Up that will be available through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Kukui Grove Center.
“We are really excited to be back on Kaua‘i,” Lam said in a text. “In addition to our pearl and island-inspired jewelry, we have a new sister company named Misha Hawai‘i Home that feature new pareo with original artwork, my misha, home fragrance, art and perfume all made in Hawai‘i. A lot of these new offerings are available at the Pop Up, and make great new additions to the home.”
The unanticipated arrival of the Misha’s Pop Up adds to the excitement of the Final Countdown to Charity walk that will feature live entertainment, a silent auction, and visits with nonprofit organizations that are beneficiary to proceeds raised by the 43rd Annual Charity Walk presented by the Hawai‘i Lodging &Tourism Association, Kaua‘i Chapter.
The Countdown that runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. centered around the food court is also an ideal time to pick up the walker’s t-shirt for this year’s event that will take place on Aug. 20 at the North Vidinha soccer fields. And, if you haven’t registered this year’s 3-mile leisurely stroll through Lihu‘e, the Countdown is a perfect place to sign up for the event that benefits nearly 60 of Kaua‘i’s nonprofit organizations.
A sidebar to the Charity Walk is the Slippah Drop where shoppers can stop by the Hawai‘iUSA Federal Credit Union, and the Countdown site to acquire a pair of slippers that has a trip to Las Vegas attached as the grand prize for the donation.
Walkers registering online at www.hltakauai.org, or at the Countdown in person are eligible for 10 random drawing prizes that include hotel stays, dining certificates, and more.
The Kukui Grove Center is continuing the excitement of the Charity Walk on Aug. 20 with a Family Fun Festival that remembers the fun and flavors of Kaua‘i County Farm Bureau Fairs past from noon (the Walk is over by then) until 4 p.m.
