Fries have been on the McDonald’s menu since 1955 when, in those days, the restaurant crew would hand-cut the potatoes on location.
McDonald’s always uses whole potatoes, with suppliers peeling, cutting, blanching and par frying the morsels before freezing them for shipping.
Restaurants prepare the fries into the hot, crispy treats customers know.
