Kaua‘i Police Department Chief Todd Raybuck told Janice Bond (she was the first one to dunk the chief at Touch A Truck Saturday!) he still had water in his ears after going into the tank countless times during his two-hour stint in the Fun and Kwazy Ride dunking booth.
Ken Carvalho has been super busy, starting from the FreedomFest, the Kekaha Family Fun Day, Touch A Truck, and even scholarship dinners and receptions for daughter Zoe!
Kudos, Chief Raybuck, and all those KPD blue ‘ohana on a great Touch A Truck, where Kaleo Carvalho was passing out KPD stickers while Mayor Derek Kawakami got to talk story with all those families!
Despite Samira Siale and her Hawai‘i Lodging & Tourism Association Kaua‘i Chapter board members and Kaua‘i Visitor Charity Walk leadership team drawing all those golf teams (and support crew — Liz Steiner of Pu‘uwai Canoe Club couldn’t make the Hanalei regatta because she was volunteering!) at the charity walk golf tournament, the families poured onto the grounds of the KPD offices.
Thank you, state Judiciary, for allowing parking in the courthouse parking lot.
Capt. Mark Ozaki was helping the Kaua‘i High School Hospitality Academy station with coffee for all those early risers at golf, and Elysse Litvack and her Kumu’s Cupboard ‘ohana are getting ready for the Kukui Grove Center Back to School Bash later this month (have you registered yet?).
Despite all the goings-on, Kaleo Penner (he said his real name is Mark) was showing off his The Kaua‘i Bus lanyard and flashlight and was still able to meet up with the Bikes on Rice slow ride (check out those keiki and puppy carriers!) that came ahead of the Downtown Lihu‘e Night Market.
Don’t forget, you only got this week to check out the Garden Isle Quilters exhibit at the Kaua‘i Society of Artists gallery at KGC.
