LIHU‘E — Paul Curtis of the Hanama‘ulu Hillsiders said the team’s 15-6 win over DaKruzers Saturday gives the Hillsiders its fourth straight victory in the Kaua‘i Senior Softball League.
The win also puts importance on their continuation game against the Rookies, who remain undefeated with an 18-11 win over the Bushwackas at the Baniaga Field adjacent to Hanapepe Stadium.
Curtis said the Hillsiders’ win was one of two good contests waged at Isenberg Park Saturday, the other being the 13-11 come-from-behind win by the Aloha Kia Lihu‘e A’s over Solid Steel.
“Both teams were hitting well,” Curtis said. “Aloha Kia A’s had to come from behind to take the two-run win.”
The Solid Steel loss sets the stage for Saturday when they face the Hillsiders at ‘Ele‘ele Park at 10:15 a.m.
Can they break that four-game streak?
