KOKE‘E — The county Department of Public Works and contractor Maui Kupuno Builders announced that a portion of Koke‘e Road near Old Mana Road will be closed Monday, May 16 to Tuesday, May 24, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting, for road-resurfacing work. • The state Department of Transportation announced a single lane closure on Kuhio Highway is possible in either direction between mile markers 1.2 and 2.3, Ohiki Road and Aku Road, from Monday to Friday, May 16 to 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for drain clearing and cleaning;
Kilauea
• A single-lane closure of Kuhio Highway is possible in either direction between mile markers 24 and 25, Kalihiwai Road and the vicinity of Kalihiwai Bridge, Monday through Friday, May 16 to 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for tree trimming;
Kapa‘a
• Portions of Mailihuna, Hau‘a‘ala and Kawaihau roads will be closed from Monday to Friday, May 16 to 20, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, for closures are necessary for clearing and grubbing, roadway excavation and sidewalk construction. • A right-lane closure on Kuamoo Road is possible in either direction between mile markers 0.8 and 1 Monday through Friday, May 16 to 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for tree and grass cutting;
• A right-shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kuhio Highway in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and the Kapa‘a bypass road, for the Kuhio Highway Short-Term Improvements;
Lihu‘e
• A single-lane closure of Kaumuali‘i Highway is possible in either direction at mile marker 0, vicinity of Rice Street, on Monday and Tuesday, May 16 and 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for traffic signal camera maintenance;
• A single-lane closure of Nawiliwili Road is possible in either direction between mile markers 1.2 and 2, vicinity of Kaumuali‘i Highway and Aheahe Street, on Monday and Tuesday, May 16 and 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for traffic signal camera maintenance;
Puhi
• A roving, single-lane closure of Kaumuali‘i Highway is possible in either direction between mile markers 1.7 and 6.6, vicinity of Puhi Road and Maluhia Road, Wednesday through Friday, May 18 to 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for landscaping of shoulders and around guardrails;
• A single-lane closure of Kaumuali‘i Highway is possible in either direction at mile marker 1.97, vicinity of Anonui Street, on Monday and Tuesday, May 16 and 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for traffic signal camera maintenance;
• A single-lane closure of Kaumuali‘i Highway is possible in either direction at mile marker 2.1, vicinity of a cane haul road, Monday and Tuesday, May 16 and 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for traffic signal camera maintenance.
