LIHU‘E — The state Department of Health Kaua‘i District Health Office announced 17 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday.
Sunday’s cases bring the number of active cases to 102, with four hospitalized, and 11,727 cumulative cases.

State DOH case investigators generally contact positive cases within a day or two of receiving the results. In some instances, case investigators will not be able to reach positive cases before the end of isolation periods.
Positive cases should immediately isolate at home and notify close contacts including workplace and schools.
